tip 2 : Visa, MC and Amex cards
When you're about to make an order, do not forget to enter your card information in your profile page at Centregold first, if you plan to use such a method of payment.
Then it will appear automatically in a dropdown list during the order process. This will avoid typing errors as you have to enter it only once.
Both debit and credit cards are accepted here, as long as they are compatible with Mastercard or Visa or Amex. The same for charge and gift cards; we accept all of them.
We advise our customers to use Amex cards both for buying and selling digital currencies as we process Amex orders very fast and at lower fees too. Moreover, Amex cards are available worldwide nowadays.
Needless to say that you have to type in the right information, exactly as it appears on your card, otherwise your order will be declined.
Let's stress upon that "declined" issue as the refund process may take time (up to 30 days) for declined orders if the card has already been charged. So it's a good idea to try to avoid that situation, as much as you can.
Even a wrong expiry date may be a cause for decline. The same for CVV mismatch, invalid billing address, card having been used in two distant locations, suspicious address to IP geolocation, card not allowed for online purchases, ....
Also, make sure you have authorized a charge from Centregold and our card processor. For that, you just have to ask your bank or card issuer to accept a charge from us prior to making your purchase order.
We'd like to state here that Centregold doesn't store your card numbers, only the hashes for security purpose. And we do not allow the same card to be used with two centregold accounts for that same security reason.
Security is the most important for us and sometimes we make sacrifices for the sake of security.
