tip 5 : Telephone verification

An important step in the order process is the telephone verification, as it's one of the best means to ensure that the order is actually placed by the owner of the account. So you have to be watchful to pick a voice call and write down a four-digit code, since it can't be sent by sms because it lasts only a few minutes and will become invalid.

Of course, if you fail that telephone verification step then your order will no longer be active, so you have to place a new one, even if your receive a message stating that it has been sent for processing.

Let's start with how to enter your phone number correctly in your profile page at Centregold :

Phone numbers should be in the form +cc nnn nnn nnnn  where "cc" is the country code, which can't be changed unless you change your address. If you live in the US or Canada then your country code should be "1" and your phone number formed of ten digits. Otherwise our system won't be able to call you and your order will fail.

Some countries use that 10-digit phone number format too, others use only 9 (e.g. Portugal) or 11 (e.g. Germany). Furthermore, do not forget to remove the leading zero before your phone number if any, as it's only necessary for local calls.

In order to make corrections, you have to click on the  "update profile" menu in your account page at Centregold or just click on the following link : https://centregold.ca/Account/updateProfile.php

While still on that page, you can choose which language will be used in the automated voice call.

If you have entered several phone numbers there, then you have to make sure all of them are switched on;  alternatively just keep one number  -  the one which is with you all the time  -  and remove the others. Even mobile phone numbers are accepted.

In fact, at step 3 during the order process, our system will dial that number to give you a code. Do not wait too long for entering that code provided by automatic phone call, 20 seconds up to 5 minutes later.

That means you should stay near your telephone and be ready to write it down and enter it directly in the field provided for that.If you fail to do so, the code will become invalid.

 enter the four-digit code here

If, for some reasons, there is no phone call at all or the phone rings but there is no voice, then just click on the "verify" button anyway and your phone will ring again. Do not close your browser until you get that four-digit code.

A special note for dial-up internet connection users:
keep your telephone free, ready to receive our call

ps: It is not necessary to cancel an order which has failed the telephone verification process, and you won't be charged by a failed order.
